Samec Trust is working in partnership with Stadium Community College by offering PTLLS courses (Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning Sector) to those people who teach, train or assess part of their work.

PTLLS is the new mandatory qualification requirement for people who teach in the post 16 education sector.   Every teacher, facilitator or assessor will need this qualification by 2011 and PTLLS is suitable for anyone who is a trainer in industry, business or public services whether the trainer conducts one to one work such as life coaching through to teaching larger groups.

The course is suitable for trainers across all sectors such as:

  • Security/Police
  • NHS
  • Colleges of Further Education/ Universities
  • Private training organisations
  • Voluntary and charity organisations
  • Housing/ Local Authorities 

   What you learn:

  • Understand own role, responsibilities and boundaries of role in relation to teaching
  • Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area
  • Demonstrate session planning skills
  • Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners
  • Understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping

    The course costs £430 for a five day course and £390 for a 3 day course

    Venue:
    The course will be based in a specially equipped learning studios (equipped with camera facility for micro teaching) based in Wembley

    We can also offer on site training at place of work for a minimum of seven candidates. Our PTTLS is accredited by The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
